I add value to surplus electrical energy by perfecting how its stored
The Jupiter 1000 project led by Patrick Prunet converts electricity into gas. It transforms the surplus of renewable electricity into green hydrogen and synthetic methane to direct it into the GRTgaz network and store it. More specifically, it involves using the electricity to transform water into hydrogen by electrolysis. Hydrogen then plays the role of energy carrier, being transported through the gas network. It can also be transformed into synthetic methane while capturing and recycling CO2 from industrial fumes. Jupiter 1000 is transforming renewable electricity into natural gas to store it, moving us further into an energy transition.
