Use of the personal data collected

Shamengo is committed to ensuring that the collection and processing of your data, carried out from the website, complies with the general data protection regulations (RGPD) and the Data Protection Act.


When you leave a comment on our website, the data entered in the comment form, but also your IP address and your browser’s user agent are collected to help us detect hostile comments.

After validation of your comment, your profile photo will be publicly visible next to your comment.

If you are a registered user and upload images to the website, we advise you to avoid uploading images containing EXIF GPS coordinates data. Visitors to your website can download and extract location data from these images.

Contact forms

When you send us a message via the form on our website, we ask you for the necessary contact details to be able to reply to you. This data will not be used for any other purpose and will be transmitted to us by email.

Each form limits the collection of personal data to what is strictly necessary (data minimization) and:

You can subscribe to our newsletter from our website. The subscription process is double opt in, i.e. when you subscribe to our newsletter, you receive an email containing a link to confirm your subscription. This ensures that you have asked to subscribe and that no one else has used your email address instead to register.

Our newsletters are created and managed on an external platform (MailChimp). The owner of the Tête de Com website is the only one who can use the contact details of contacts registered in the mailing lists.

You can unsubscribe at any time by simply clicking on the link at the bottom of all our newsletters. You also have a right of access, rectification and deletion. You can exercise this right by simple request by any means of contact at your convenience.

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are kept indefinitely. This allows you to automatically recognize and approve the following comments instead of leaving them in the moderation queue.

Personal data provided by users will be deleted after a certain period of time and depending on the data processed.

In order to allow members to recover their account in the event of forgotten password after a prolonged period without logging in to the site, your email address is kept secure. However, it is possible to delete it by modifying its profile information in the ‘My Account’ section of the site.
