I make bioethanol from your old clothes

Masaki Takao

Japan / Imabari
Innovation : Marketed / Broadcasted

Sugar cane, sugar beets, wheat, and corn are a just few of the many plants that are already used to produce bioethanol. Why not cotton? Our Japanese pioneer had the ingenious idea to recycle the masses of old cotton clothes we don’t know what to do with.

Masaki has a playful, slightly mischievous smile. It’s the smile of someone who isn’t afraid to find solutions where no one had thought to look before.
