I help the elderly be valued in society by changing how families interact.
Rosanne Montminy is in charge of the Grandparents’ Home in Sainte-Foy, Quebec, which she founded in 1998. This not-for-profit organisation seeks to improve intergenerational ties and reduce loneliness amongst the elderly by putting their skills to good use in a variety of activities: homework assistance, singing, knitting, sewing and weaving, but also in DIY, cooking, running of a book club, etc. The aims of the Grandparents’ Home are to improve cross-generational relationships, prevent family conflicts and encourage the eldery to share their valuable experience and knowledge.
